Half Year Results and Financial Statements for the six months ending 31 December 2004

We enclose the following documents:

  1. Press Release;

  2. ASX Appendix 4D Half Year Report and Statement of Financial Performance and Statement of Financial Position for Thakral Holdings Limited and its Controlled Entities for the six months ending 31 December 2004; and

  3. Statement of Financial Performance and Statement of Financial Position by our wholly owned subsidiary Sovereign Funds Management Limited, as Responsible Entity of the Thakral Holdings Trust ("THT") for the six months ending 31 December 2004. The THT Financial Statements have been provided to the voting unit holders of THT as required by the Trust Deed.

These Financial Statements and Reports are available to all security holders on the Thakral Group website, www.thakral.com.au, in the Investor Centre, Financial Information section.

We note that lodgement with the ASX is also deemed lodgement with the ASIC pursuant to ASIC Practice Note 61 under the Corporations Act 2001.

We advise details of the distribution from the Thakral Holdings Trust for the six month period ending 31 December 2004 are as follows:

a) The distribution is 2.5 cents per stapled security.
b) Record Date for determining entitlements: 8 March 2005.
c) Payment Date: 23 March 2005.
