Press Release - Appointment of AAPC as Operator of Adelaide Hotel

Thakral Holdings Ltd (THL) announced the appointment of Accor Asia Pacific Limited as the new managers of the THL owned hotel presently known as the Hindley Parkroyal Hotel, Adelaide. The appointment will take effect on 18 April, 2000.

During recent discussions with the current operator, Southern Pacific Hotels Corporation, it was mutually agreed to end the current management arrangement.

The Managing Director of THL, Mr John Schaap, said "SPHC have managed the Hotel since its opening in 1990 and continued after the purchase by THL in June 1994. We thank SPHC for their efforts and wish them well for the future."

Accor Asia Pacific Ltd (ACCOR) will rebrand the 178 room, 4 star hotel as the "Novotel Adelaide on Hindley."

John Schaap said that "following the recent acquisition of the All Seasons Group by ACCOR, the Novotel Adelaide on Hindley will become one of twelve THL owned hotels to be managed by ACCOR and is a further indication of our long and mutually beneficial relationship."
