We enclose a copy of a release to the Australian Stock Exchange dated 1 March 1999 concerning the results of the Thakral Holdings Group (Thakral Holdings Limited and Thakral Holdings Trust) for the six months ending on 31 December 1998.

Please note that the Board has previously advised shareholders that the Thakral Holdings Limited and Thakral Holdings Trust Distribution Reinvestment Plans (DRP) will apply for the dividend from Thakral Holdings Limited and distribution from Thakral Holdings Trust payable on 31 March 1999 with a 5% discount. The Record Date for determining entitlements to this dividend/distribution is 15 March 1999.

We enclose a re-printed booklet setting out the DRP Plans terms and conditions.
Please note that following amendments to the ASX Listing Rules from 1 February 1999 directors have amended the DRP Rules, to shorten the period for determining the issue price for new Thakral Holdings Group stapled securities from 5 ASX trading days to 4 days, up to and including the Record Date. This is effective for the dividend/distribution payable on 31 March 1999.

We enclose a DRP Election/Variation Notice which must be completed only if you wish to change your present participation. This Notice may also be used to arrange direct credit of dividends and distributions into your account. The completed Notice must be lodged at the Thakral Holdings Limited Share Registry at National Registry Services Pty Limited, PO Box N460 Grosvenor Place, Sydney NSW 1220 by 5pm on Friday 12 March 1999.
